Office Manager
Job Description
Modea is seeking a full time Office Manager to help maintain the functionality of both Blacksburg offices. The Office Manager is responsible for insuring that employees have everything they need to do their jobs effectively and happily. This is a key employee in the organization and we are looking for somebody with motivation, a great work ethic and a desire to help people.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and healthy working environment
- Coordinate travel and make detailed itineraries for employees and candidates
- Answer office phone, transfer calls, and check the general voicemail
- Check, open, and distribute mail to the appropriate places
- Keep track of receipts and submit them on a regular basis
- Assist employees with requests for things like food and office supplies
- Maintain office supplies by ordering and stocking in a timely manner
- Maintain fully stocked kitchens with food, soda, etc.
- Stay within the office budget
- Coordinate mail, outgoing checks and bank deposits
- Organize company events
- Assist HR as needed with scheduling interviews, paperwork, etc.
- Contribute to the company Facebook page by adding things like pictures and events
- Maintain contacts with vendors
- Assist President and Directors with administrative tasks
- Other general office duties
Requirements
- Experience in an office environment in a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to assess and react to the needs of an ever growing and changing organization
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Enjoy working with and helping others
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks at one time
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Compensation
- Great hourly rate based on experience with the opportunity for increase
