Senior Project Manager
Job Description

Modea, a rapidly growing interactive agency in Blacksburg is looking for a Senior Project Manager to help grow our team.The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, have an acute attention to project details, and have a passion for the Internet and new technology trends.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage projects utilizing multiple technologies (CMS, CRM, SAP, BPR, inter/intra/extra/portals).
- Plan, budget, and manage large scale data and site migrations while managing client and internal/contractor needs.
- Manage multiple integrated/interdependent project plans at once.
- Document large enterprise level projects from planning to development to launch.
- Issue, risk, scope, resource, and asset management for all assigned • Estimates and managing actuals to estimates on assigned projects
- Troubleshoot and to provide solutions on assigned projects
- Lead teams in the task of developing and implementing project strategy and architecture
- Prepare agendas and lead project meetings; take contact notes and ensure follow-through for all meetings lead by Project Manager
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication flow as relates to production and the internal project team
- Motivate team in a positive manner engendering teamwork and creativity
- Accurately identify and assess scope changes and their impact to the schedule and budget
- Work with team leads to define the overall scope of project
- Early identification of any issues that could impede successful delivery
- Project P&L
- Coordinate across departments to manage day-to-day workflow to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget
- Develop and manage all production schedules, projections, specifications, and budgets for assigned jobs
- Reconciliation and analysis of projected vs. actual time/budgets and control of any variances
- Input of schedule, budget, assumptions, and scope considerations for all Statements of Work (SOW) and Change Orders
- Budget reconciliations, directory archives, meeting agendas, risk management plans, budget and schedules, status reports, extranets, change logs, issue logs, estimates, long term resource requests, resource requests, project charters, kick-off packages, delivery plans, asset trackers, production art specifications, archives of files, photo release forms, project review reports
Qualifications
- Holds a successful record of working on at least one project that has a 9 month plus timeline.
- Is familiar with MS Sharepoint and Commerce server migrations. This includes selling in, planning, and leading a project managing a team through execution. On-time, on-budget, on-spec delivery of all assigned projects
- Experience in an interactive agency or consulting firm is a must - no exceptions.
- Excellent listening, writing, and communication skills.

- A strong desire to learn everything possible about our clients and their industries to guide projects and their successful results.
- A passionate curiosity about the Internet, trends, pop culture, and video games.
- An ability to prioritize and organize workload for self and for other team members.
- An ability to track activity, communicate effectively with team members and manage client expectations.
- A solid understanding of the lifecycle for web development initiatives.
- A strong working knowledge of what is involved in the creation of HTML-based websites, Flash content, and back-end server applications.
- An understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, Flash, backend programming languages, and other standard Internet-related technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in using MS Project (or an equivalent project management tool), Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Photoshop.
- Implementation and or management of ecommerce websites and content management systems a strong plus
